Membership into our ARES / RACES organization is free!

There are essentially 3 steps you will need to perform in order to become a member.

1st, you will need to be an Amateur Radio Operator. If you already have this quailification, go ahead and skip to step 2. If you are interested in becoming an amateur radio operator, also known as a HAM, please take a look at Step 1. It will give you a few links and guidelines to achieving that goal.

It really isn't that hard, and becoming a Ham can be a very rewarding experience!

2nd, you will need to send in the application form to our Emergency Coordinator.

Lastly (step 3), you should be aware of a few requirements. The requirements are relatively easy to achieve, and you do not have to have them completed before joining.

Becoming a member of ARES/RACES is a great way to give back to your community, while at the same time having fun!
